While Dave has participated in several not-for-profit boards and is currently a Member at Large of the Greater Arizona Chapter of the National Society of Arts and Letters, he says he’s looking forward to this unique opportunity to fine tune his business leadership skills that he can bring to other not-for-profit boards in the arts community.
Veer Consulting Concludes Successful Debate Season with Citizens Clean Elections Commission
October 19th, 2010
Dave Ryder, principal and managing director of Veer Consulting, is proud to announce the conclusion of a highly successful debate season with the Citizens Clean Elections Commission.
Veer was tapped to manage the event logistics for the 2010 General and Primary Election Debates throughout Arizona. This year, debates were held at 16 locations statewide from June through October.
Overall, candidate turnout was high – for both Clean Elections candidates who run under the auspices of Clean Elections, and traditional candidates. The public came out in droves as well, especially in rural districts where contentious issues dominated the ballot. All debates are available on the Clean Elections website.
Dave says each debate was orchestrated on time, with respectful audiences, in convenient venues located in each district. Feedback from the surveys was positive.
“Election debates present unique challenges for logistics planning. We are never sure of the audience numbers and have to plan for a large crowd. In certain districts, we see great numbers, occasionally more than we anticipated,” he says. “We are cautious to select venues that are cost-effective, ADA compliant, centrally located in the legislative district, convenient and meet the candidates’ and public’s needs. It’s very gratifying to be part of the education of the voting public as we build Arizona’s future.”
Veer also managed the debate series for Clean Elections during the 2008 season. It’s looking forward to the 2012 season.

Veer Consulting Principal to Host Seminar on Client Retention for Business Coalition
August 6th, 2010
Veer Consulting Principal Dave Ryder is hosting an educational seminar, “Client Retention in a Challenging Economy,” for members of Local First Arizona, a coalition of locally-owned businesses.
The event is happening Wednesday, August 25 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Clarendon Hotel, located at 401 W. Clarendon Ave. in downtown Phoenix. Registration is open to members only. It’s $5 in advance, or $8 at the door. Visit Local First Arizona to learn more and register.
Seminar Description:
In theory, retaining clients should be simple. Provide a great product or service, on time, at a fair price, and periodically thank your customers for their business. However, that’s no longer enough. Clients in today’s economy expect their vendors to participate in their growth and competitive advantage strategies. Procurement folks are no longer satisfied with a presentation about a product, a graduated pricing scale or flashy marketing promotions. They want to know how the relationship is going to improve their company’s bottom line and long-term sustainability.
Dave is available to host presentations for numerous entities including professional associations, corporate teams and colleges or universities. Visit Speaking Engagements to review details. Custom presentations can be developed upon request.
To schedule a presentation, call (602) 568-6277.
